God's Mercy Primary School
A humble hand-pump provides water for God's Mercy Primary School at Sserinya Village in Maanyi subcounty, Mityana District. get their water from a near hand pump maintained by Whave. The school purchased a 4-tap hand-wash station without any sponsorship, when it opened in January 2022. The Headmistress Ms Nantale Florence says the design is easy for eh pupils to use and it inspires them to have clean hands during the school day.
Best Foundation Primary School
The teachers and pupils of Best Foundation Primary School at Zigoti Malangala purchased the 4-tap station. They use liquid soap in one of the two tanks, and rinsing water in the other, the head of the school says the children manage this very well.
Ssebaduka Joseph and family
Joseph and his family live in Kiryamuli, Kalangalo sub-county, Mityana. They are proud owners of Out-In Pedal Station, which they use outside during the day, and inside at night. The children find it easy to use by pressing the pedal with their feet. When he puts the station inside the house, Joseph folds the feet and locks the station to the wall so everyone can use it.
Kasolo Anutoli
The LC1 Chairperson of Nabweyo, Myanzi, Kassanda said he is grateful to Happihands for designing convenient new technology in handwashing stations. He purchased the Pedal Station Inside with Thru-Wall Drain for his family, because he likes the idea that he can fix it to a wall and connect its drain stem to a drain he will install going through the wall, as well as lifting it to take out of the house and use outside.

Although they have electricity in their home, they do not have piped water and they use a hand-pump for water supply. Now their guests can wash hands inside. It takes very little space in the room, next to the entrance door.
Dr Waiswa Jude
Dr. Jude works in the St. Jacinta Health Centre III, Zigoti Malangala, Mityana District. He said he has no piped water so he appreciates the Out-In Pedal Station design because patients press the foot pedal to wash hands outside, and because it is light and compact, so is easy to place indoors for security. He says it is needed to prevent other diseases other diseases even when COVID is not there.

The Vice LC1 Chairperson of Kisaana-B Village, Mityana, bought the 4-tap handwasher for her family. She said the 4 taps are helpful because the children like washing their hands together. She said she wants this outside her home to give people in the village an example.

Mrs. Nabawanuka purchased the Out-In Pedal Station so that her family would always wash hands. She is the Water Committee Chairperson at Mawundwe East Community.
Mrs Nanyonjo Kosita
The family of LC3 Chairperson, Ssengendo Samuel, Maggwa village, Kassanda subcounty preferred the 4-tap station as many people could wash their hands at one go.
Ssentongo Lawrence
Lawrence purchased the Out-In Pedal Station for his parents. He said this type of handwasher is good because it is light to carry, occupies little space in the house with the provision of hooking it to the wall. He adds that the material used can last a longer period since it does not rust.

Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Sekitooleko are Council Elders at Kiryokya, Kalangalo Subcounty, Mityana. They were delighted to buy the Out-In Pedal Station to enhance hygiene in their home.

Ms Sentongo bought the 3-tap station for her mini supermarket in Mityana town. She mentioned that having three taps will reduce congestion or queues of people entering therefore making hygiene in her shop more convenient.

With the ongoing pandemic she urges those that visit her shop to wash their hands, and she too can regularly wash her hands with ease of not having to go back home.
